The patented dome shaped housing of the cleaning heads completely encapsulates the water spray jets and the vacuum slots, thereby creating a virtual "steam chamber" in the cleaning zone with minimal heat loss. This powerful combination of contained heat, agitation, and multiple flushing action creates cleaning dynamics that cannot be achieved by the push and drag motion of legacy cleaning systems.

The ROTOVAC heads counter-rotate at about 250 revolutions per minute, which combined with the weight of the head, enables the hot water to penetrate deep into the carpet pile. The rotating action of the water jets insures that virtually every fiber in the carpet is saturated by the hot water/steam combination. The vacuum slots in the head control the water immersion time and extract the water and the cleaning chemicals. Compare this with the push and drag vacuum head based technologies. The push and drag vacuum heads require substantially more effort for the operator, which will eventually fatigue the operator and reduce the thoroughness of the overall cleaning task. A tired operator just cannot consistently apply the same physical pressure on the carpet pile, so that deep cleaning results are diminished.

When your pet urinates on your carpet, the urine smell (and sometimes stain) cannot be removed by simple cleaning. This is because once the urine evaporates from under the carpet, what remains are sticky crystallized uric acid salts. These salts provide food for nasty bacteria to feed on. As the bacteria eat the uric acid salts, they release ammonia gas. Its the Amonia Gas that your nose picks up on, and that we associate with pet urine. This smell is more noticeable on rainy or humid days. Keep in mind your animal's sense of smell is more fine tuned, and they are able to smell the ammonia gas, even if you don't.. This reinforces the animal's behavior and they continue to urinate in undesired locations.
